We leave everyday at 9.45 am from LAGOS SURF CENTER surf shop to the beautiful beaches of the south or the west coast, depending on the wind and waves conditions.
Our instructors are qualified by the Portuguese Surfing Federation. Bookings at our shop, by phone or email.
We can pick you up also in LUZ, Burgau, Salema or Sagres!

THE BEACHES
To book just pass at LAGOS SURF CENTER surf shop ( center of Lagos) or contact us by phone or email. It´s important to book in advance.
The SURF SAFARI leaves from the shop everyday at 9.45 am (Rua Silva Lopes nº 31, near Bar Bon Vivant), and comes back around 5 pm. We can also pick you up at Meia-Praia, Porto de Mós, Praia da Luz, Burgau, and Salema. Maximum 8 people for each instructor. It takes between 5 to 4 minutes to get to the beach. Almost all beaches have a bar or a restaurant.
Important to bring: sun protector, towel and a hat.
Our instructors are constantly informed about the surf conditions and choose everyday the ideal beach to teach surfing.
Between Lagos, Sagres and Aljezur there are many spots with good surf conditions ( Meia Praia, Zavial, Mareta, Cordoama, Arrifana, etc). The beginners lessons are given in small waves and beach breaks.
The first lesson starts with a simple theorical introduction followed by a quick warm up on the sand. Next everybody is ready to go in the water and catch the first small waves, always with the instructors supervision. There is a break to eat, relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our coast.
Each lesson takes between one and a half to two hours. Usually everybody is able to stand up on the second lesson.
Beginners use BiC surfboards with a softdeck, intermediates use Semente or Storm surfboards in Epoxy. Wetsuits are from Billabong or Rip Curl 3/2 m Arround 16.30 it´s time to come back.

Who wants to join our Surf Safari as a companion or has its own equipment can book a place for € 25 and get to know the beaches of the Vicentin Coast.
Kids from 6 to 14 are welcome to come, but one of their parents must join for responsibility. One of our teachers is specialized in teaching kids.
The surf safari for groups has the same conditions of the previous ones, but can chose the time to leave and come back, with the possibility of being picked up and left at the accommodation place. Some discount possible for big groups.
The surf safari is a good opportunity to surf with better quality and less crowded spots.
The West and South Coast of the Algarve has good surfing conditions all year round, beachbreaks, pointbreaks and all kinds of waves. A local guide will take you to the best beach, depending on wind and swell conditions. Prices are the same, minimum 2 and maximum 4 people.
