Have you ever dreamed of surfing?

We have daily departures from LAGOS SURF CENTER, to the south or west coast, depending on wind and swell conditions. we offer a full package of transport, lessons, wetsuit , surfboard and lunch! Our instructors are recognized by the Portuguese Surfing Federation and it doesn´t matter if you are a total beginner!

BEGINNERS AND INTERMEDIATE

The Surf Safari leaves Lagos Surf Center at 9.45 am and comes back arround 6 pm.

We can also organize to pick up our clients at Luz, Burgau, Salema, etc.

Each instructor will teach a group of maximum 8 people. They are always informed about the weather and wave conditions and this will influence the choice of the surf spot each day.

Between Lagos, Sagres and Aljezur there are lots of surf spots with good conditions, such as Meia-Praia, Zavial, Mareta, Cordoama, Amado, Arrifana, etc).

Beginners will have lessons in small waves and sandy beaches.

It can take 10 to 40 minutes drive to get to the beach.

Most of the beaches have a beach bar.

The first lesson start with a short theory for introduction, followed by a short warm up, then you are ready to go in the water, always under instructor´s supervision.

There´s a lunch break and some time to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our coasts.

Generally everybody can stand up after the first lesson. For beginners we use softdeck boards, in different sizes, and for intermediates we use epoxy boards and Billabong wetsuits.

Important to bring:  sun block, towell, hat

Who wishes to join the safari as a companion, but not take surf lessons, is welcome to book a place for € 25.

Experts

The surf safari is an ocasion to get to surf our spots with guidance of local people. This area of the Algarve has good swell and wind conditions all year round, sand breaks and point breaks.

Groups

For groups the surf safari keeps the same conditions as for beginners, with the difference that it´s possible to choose the time to leave in the morning  and time of return, and also the possibility of being picked up at their accommodation place.

There is also a possibility of discount, depending on the number of participants.
